The Island's made it into the top 20 of the greatest railway journeys in the world.
This week the Telegraph newspaper in the UK produced a list of its 50 greatest train rides - and the Manx Electric Railway came in at number 16.
Travel writer Adrian Bridge sang the praises of the MER as well as the Island's other heritage transport links.
The Douglas to Ramsey trip pipped journeys such as a Flying Scotsman tour and Uzbekistan's Silk Road.
In the list Adrian Bridge says the Island's an ideal place for transport enthusiasts with the steam railway, Snaefell Mountain Railway and horse trams.
But he saves the most praise for the Manx Electric Railway, pointing out it's Britain's largest narrow-gauge vintage railway.
He also says the Isle of Man's varied landscape and nostalgic atmosphere is the perfect setting.
