Manx Care says more than 3,000 people were removed from waiting lists last year - because they shouldn't have been on them.
A Freedom of Information request asked for the numbers of people who'd been taken off lists after checks were carried out.
In its response, Manx Care said its staff had found 3,137 people who could be removed from waiting lists in 2025.
It says in each case, they'd either died, left the Island, arranged private treatment or been duplicated on lists.
