12 People have appeared in Douglas Courthouse after failing to pay their tax returns on time.
Over £10,000 of fines were handed out to the defendants.
Defendants were ordered to pay a fine of up to £1,000 plus court costs.
The Treasury say the penalty can be up to £5,000 and prosecution could be imposed.
