A woman who died after being struck by a car died of "blunt force chest injuries" an inquest at Douglas Courthouse heard this afternoon.
62-year-old Gwen Valentine from Winchester was visiting family when the crash happened on the Tholt-y-Will Road on April 26th.
A 30-year-old man from St Johns has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
The inquest was opened and adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.
