Thieves found on stolen railway car

Two people were arrested on a stolen railway cart in Laxey in the early hours of this morning.

Both were arrested on the stolen cart in the area of Rencel Hill - they were found in possession of ply board and pallets which had been lifted from the surrounding area.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious on the electric railway tracks.

They are also highlighting the danger to life posed by trespassing on MER property and interfering with the rolling stock.
