The Island's top musical talent are tuning up for Peelstock weekend!

Top Island festival now in its sixth year.

Fans of live music around the Island will be converging on Peel today for the annual Peel Stock festival, which is now in its sixth year.

For the first time it’s going to be held over the duration of the weekend with a packed schedule of live bands both today and tomorrow.

Peel stock was devised by a group of friends who set up the Tommy Clucas Memorial Fund in memory of close friend Tommy who died back in 2004.

Their goal is to raise enough money to build a community sports facility in Peel, to date they’ve raised close to £200,000.

There have been concerns today about the weather, however the Met Office are forecasting only light showers interspersed with sunny spells throughout the day.

It's described as an event that caters for all ages with plenty of cover in the event of rain.

It’s being held at the Peel Football Club ground with gates opening at 12.30pm on both days and music kicking off shortly after.
