The Island's investment in training our own GPs is paying off.
That's according to the department of health and social care, who says its policy to train doctors on-Island is producing more local Doctors.
A course available on the Isle of Man means Island residents can become a fully-qualified general practitioner, without having to go to the UK.
Dr Melanie Shick is the first fully qualified GP to be completely trained on the Island, and recently qualified at Douglas based practice - Palatine surgery.
