More Research Granted to Find Out More About Mysterious Basking Sharks
The Department of Environment Food and Agriculture have given their support to a new method of research geared toward answering more questions about the enigmatic basking shark.
Little is known about where the sharks go too in the winter months, it’s hoped this research will shed more light on that mystery.
This research is slightly more intrusive than other types as it will require direct contact with the shark, something that is normally not permitted.
The aim of the exercise is to take DNA samples using a swab.
