Public Inquiry for Tesco Plans
Plans to extend Tesco’s Lake Road store are to come under public scrutiny following the announcement of an enquiry.
The move for an inquiry has come following a number of complaints from people worried that a bigger Tesco store would both damage local business and lead to an increase in traffic.
As it stands the plans would see a new mezzanine floor introduced and a customer café. There would parking for 566 cars, and its said the improvements would see upto 266 jobs created.
The inquiry is provisionally due to take place on
November 10.
