The Department of Infrastructure says it'll start a tendering process to finish the sea wall in Douglas late this year.
A Freedom of Information request asked when the overtopping wall for Loch Promenade near the Bottleneck Car Park would be finished.
In its response, the department said it would invite contractors to tender for the Phase 2 sea wall works in the coming weeks.
And it adds if everything goes to plan, work is likely to start in the final quarter of 2026.
