A temporary 30mph speed limit is now in place as work is underway on the New Castletown Road this week.
The Department of Infrastructure is reconstructing an area of the road alongside the back of Mount Murray Estate.
The repair work is expected to take up to four days, with the temporary speed limit and traffic lights in place the whole time.
Access to The Forge restaurant won't be affected.
