Teenager back in court over stabbing

An 18-year-old from Anagh Coar who allegedly stabbed a man at a Halloween party will appear in court today.

Jack Marshal Bridson will go before the Deputy High Bailiff facing one charge of wounding with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm.

It's alleged that he attacked a friend in the garden of a property in Hilltop Rise in Douglas in the early hours of Saturday morning - a knife was recovered in the yard.

The victim suffered seven stab wounds to his chest, cheek, shoulder and back - he's currently in Noble's Hospital where his condition has been described as 'stable and comfortable'.

Appearing in court yesterday his advocate said he was struggling with a 'very serious illness' and requested a mental health assessment be carried out before today's appearance.
