A teenager is looking to raise funds for the air ambulance crew that cared for her Dad when he suffered burns.
14-year-old Alexa Crowe and her cousin Aalish are looking to complete a sponsored walk to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
They'll take on the 24-mile Millenium Way on Saturday, August 20th.
Alexa says she wants to raise money after the service directly helped her Dad - Garry.
He suffered burns after a gas canister was mistakenly put on a fire.
On her Just Giving Page, Alexa said:
"The Air Ambulance took my Dad straight over to Liverpool where some specialists were able to treat his burns. The helicopter is only on the island for a six-month trial but we are so thankful they were here when the accident happened! We want to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service to say thank you for helping my Dad so quick and to be able to help other families who need it like we did."
