A teaching union says its members have voted 'overwhelmingly' in support of industrial action over a pay dispute.
Teaching union NASUWT balloted its members last month, to see if they were willing to strike over pay, workload and working practices.
84% of respondents voted in support of strike action, with 94% in support of action short of strike action.
Dr Patrick Roach, NASUWT General Secretary says the government's inadequate pay offer has ignited deep anger across the teaching profession and has been rejected comprehensively by members.
