The government says its summer campaign to recruit more Island teachers has been a success.
According to officials, 70 teachers have been brought on board for the start of the academic year, with 37 joining Manx secondary schools and 33 taking up posts at primary level.
Of those, 10 have joined specifically to educate pupils on maths and science, something the government added can traditionally be more difficult to attract staff for.
Meanwhile, 25 of the newly appointed individuals will be working with the Department of Education, Sport & Culture for the first time.
