The government says the income tax department is having trouble with its public phone line.
People are reporting calling 685400 to speak to the team for tax advice, but the line ringing out without an answer.
Treasury says it’s because of a fault with the call handling system, and they’re trying to fix the issue as soon as possible.
In the meantime it’s advising you to email incometax@gov.im for help instead, which currently is working as of Friday, September 5.
