First Ever Strike Ballot In History Of Isle Of Man Post Office
It's been confirmed this afternoon that the ongoing pay dispute between workers and bosses at Isle of Man Post Office will result in industrial ballot action.
Over 250 postal workers will receive ballot papers from 18th
February, and have until 16th March to cast their vote.
The Communication Workers Union urge the workers to vote yes and strike over
the pay dispute that has ensued after the company refused to go to arbitration.
It’s all stemmed from a Public Sector pay freeze, which
stopped any pay rise for the postmen and women, despite being promised their
share of rewards if the company had a successful year.
It marks the first ever strike ballot at the mail company.
