The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is asking people to take care in glens and plantations this weekend.
Storm Kathleen will bring winds of up to 60mph, which DEFA says could mean damage to trees - including possible uprootings and falling branches.
It says teams will be carrying out routine inspections on the most popular routes.
It's asking people to email forestry@gov.im if you see anything that needs attention.
