Shaun Bignell, of Mona Street, Douglas, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 34-year-old previously admitted two counts of criminal damage after kicking his former partner's back door and spitting in a police van.
On Boxing Day Bignell went to a house in Ramsey and kicked the door before police arrived - he spat several times in the back of the van.
A previous probation order was revoked and Bignell was handed a total of 44 weeks in prison suspended for two years.
He was also ordered to pay £150 compensation and £125 costs.
