Smokers on the Island are being encouraged to ditch the cigarettes and join in with the Stoptober no-smoking campaign.
It runs throughout October – last year more than 160,000 people in the UK took up the challenge.
The Department of Health says anecdotal evidence shows a number of people on the Island got involved in last year’s effort with the Quit 4 You clinics busier throughout the month.
