The Steam Packet Company says it's activated emergency plans after its newest ferry suffered damage in an incident overnight.
The Marine Accident Investigation Branch is investigating after the Manxman was damaged at Heysham.
In a statement, the Steam Packet says the Ben-my-Chree and Arrow will maintain passenger and freight services.
The Manxman will need repairs before she can re-enter service, and in the meantime the Manannan will continue as normal.
