The Steam Packet's freight rates have increased by 3.3 percent for this year.
That's according to Treasury Minister Chris Thomas, in response to a Tynwald question for written reply from Peel and Glenfaba MHK Kate Lord-Brennan.
Ms Lord-Brennan wanted to know if this uplift was due to the planned increase in minimum wage, with the minister saying he wasn't aware of any connection.
Mr Thomas added under the government's Sea Services Agreement, freight charge rises are restricted so they don't exceed inflation.
