People power has been given the stamp of approval in the north of the Island – Ramsey Post Office has been saved.
Ramsey Courthouse Ltd – which involves existing workers and local authority and community representatives – has been appointed to run the operation.
It follows a high-profile campaign to retain the facility – chairman of the Isle of Man Post Office Graham Cregeen says it’s positive news:
Douglas Post Office is due to be moved to the SPAR shop on Strand Street and will be operated by Mannin Retail.
