Flicking a cigarette out of a car window whilst waiting at traffic lights has cost a Peel woman £350.
43-year-old Victoria Horgan was spotted at Ballacraine on November 5th last year by an off-duty policeman who was cycling behind her.
He reported her and she was charged with littering and for having no vehicle tax - Horgan pleaded guilty to both charges via coroner's admission.
Passing sentence Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said her actions could have endangered someone following her.
She fined Horgan £100 for littering, £200 for having no vehicle tax and ordered her to pay prosecution costs of £50.
