The Department of Social Care says that people with cases of ‘merit’ will have the support of government and charities following Friday's flooding.
The eastern coastline was the worst hit – where Ramsey, Castletown and Douglas were the victims of floods on par with those seen in 2002.
There are already reports of significant water damage to properties and retail outlets, with the emergency services pumping water out buildings well into yesterday evening.
Minister Chris Robertshaw says government will work together with charities to help where they can:
Ramsey looking for four new commissioners
Strang Stores applies for extension permission
Tynwald petition advice is free - but you'll need to act soon!
Midnight closing for new Indian restaurant in Castletown?
Tynwald to hear about Ramsey hospital reopening
Superdrug to open beauty salon in summer
MHK to query regulation for funeral directors
Road closures announced for Sprintfest - but no Ramsey Sprint again?
