The Department of Infrastructure says it's closed a lane in Maughold over fears vehicles could fall into a broken culvert.
Jacks Lane is shut to traffic after a sinkhole began appearing earlier today.
It says an old stone culvert underneath has collapsed, posing a significant risk to vehicles.
The department says emergency repairs mean it'll remain closed until next Tuesday, July 28 - although it says that date may change depending on how much work is needed.
