Reports of sex crime are expected to rise with the opening of a dedicated referrral centre on the Isle of Man.
The move, according to the chief constable, will encourage victims to come forward.
In his annual report, Gary Roberts said instances of sexual offences are already on the rise locally, with an increase of 15% during the past year.
