Parents will be getting letters this week about the government's sex education plans.
In the House of Keys this week, Education Minister Daphne Caine faced questions about the syllabus from Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Jason Moorhouse.
She said schools will be writing to parents with the details of the new curriculum.
Mrs Caine said the lessons had been designed using advice and guidance from many different sources:
