Police say a number of serious incidents this morning have left them stretched.
A helicopter crashed near to the 33rd Milestone on the Mountain Road just after 9am – the road has been closed since while investigations take place.
The Douglas to Laxey Coast Road is also closed due to a “serious road traffic collision”.
Officers are now urging motorists to reduce demand on them by riding and driving safely.
