The delayed four-lap race got under way at 12.40pm, but was stopped as the leading machines passed through Ballaugh on lap two.
At the time Michael Dunlop was leading brother William by more than 10 seconds, with Manxman Dan Kneen almost 40 seconds down.
Gary Johnson retired in the pits at the end of lap one, while Keith Amor crashed at Union Mills on lap two, with the rider reported to be okay. Mark Parrett was also reported to have crashed and sustained ankle injuries.
