The police say arrests at the Sea Terminal have increased by nearly half over the past year.
According to the chief constable's annual report, the number of investigations at the capital's port also rose from 55 to 91.
There were 90 arrests there, compared to 61 the previous year - a jump of 47.5 percent.
The report explains intelligence sharing has improved by combining the Ports Unit with the police, and having Customs and Excise officers stationed at the Sea Terminal.
