A 17 year old who admitted stealing a scooter and riding it with no license, insurance or number plate will be sentenced in October.
Ross James Mcwhinnie of Holly Grove in Pulrose appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes yesterday.
He admitted stealing the Yamaha machine from outside its owner's home in Ballabrooie Way in Douglas between April 29 and May 2.
Police later discovered it in a car park in Douglas town centre and identified Mcwhinnie through CCTV.
Mcwhinnie told police he'd bought the scooter from a man called Kyle for £300, but said he didn't have the log book, license plate or contact details for the previous owner.
Mrs Hughes heard the teenage was subject to a combination order at the time, imposed after he'd been convicted of other offences.
She adjourned the case until Tuesday, October 10 for reports to be prepared before he's sentenced.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 on condition he lives at his home address and doesn't leave the island without permission.
