£3.6 million plans for St Mary's school have been given the green light in Tynwald.
The proposed plans will see five new classrooms built, with an extension to the school hall.
Education, Sport and Culture Minister Graham Cregeen says the work is needed to update inadequate and outdated facilities.
The work is due to be completed by August 2019.
