Firefighters were called to a school in Onchan yesterday, after a blaze broke out in a classroom.
The alarm was raised shortly after 1pm when smoke filled the room at Ashley Hill School on Laurel Avenue.
The fire, which was confined to an oven, and had been put out by the time fire crews arrived.
Pupils and staff were safely evacuated from the school when the fire alarm sounded.
