Ruthless sex predator jailed for 10 years

A "ruthless sex predator" has been jailed for 10 and a half years today after abusing four children.

Earlier this month 68-year-old Peter Kewley was found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault against children under the age of 16.

Sentencing the case Deemster Cross said it was a "significant and gross abuse of trust" - Kewley's offending spanned from 1979 to 2014.

Police have praised the victims for their bravery in reporting Kewley and say they hope this sentence will be some form of closure.
