Road Closed Signs Must be Adhered to Say Police
The police would like to reiterate to road users that any marked road closures must be adhered too.
With the recent wintry weather conditions playing havoc on the Island’s roads, and with more forecast for the coming week the mountain road especially has been treacherous to cross.
Despite road closed signs the police have still seen incidents of
people trying to drive it, at great risk to themselves and any
passengers.
Anyone caught driving on a closed road risks prosecution and a hefty fine.
