The Department of Infrastructure have published a revised plan seeking to provide new housing, employment and development opportunities in the South of the Island.
Since the draft plan was published back in October 2009 it’s attracted over 150 comments from local residents, land-owners and special interest groups, as well as Local Authorities and various arms of Government. The lengthy process endeavours to eventually bring about much needed improvements to the South of the Island.
There have already been some changes made since the initial publication in 2009 with the public invited to check out the amendments before the project reaches the Public Inquiry stage.
It’s anticipated the Inquiry will be held this July.
Anyone who wants to voice their aspirations for their local community in the South is asked to complete the response form, you can access it here.
