A former Island firefighter has published a book about his time in the service.
Colin Kirkham, originally from the UK, has written about what it was like serving as both a policeman and a firefighter in Tyne and Wear and here on the Isle of Man.
He covers a number of incidents he faced as well as some lighter witty stories, and was inspired to write them down by his son.
The book is called For the Love of Fire and is available on Amazon and other bookshops, including Lexicon Book shop in Strand Street.
