Police are warning of a letter scam which has already targeted numerous residents.
Officers say a large number of letters have been handed in where fraudsters claiming to be bank officials say the target could claim millions of pounds in inheritance.
The constabulary is urging anyone who receives the bogus contact to dispose of it straight away, adding it believes con artists are going through the likes of Manx phone books to obtain peoples contact details.
Authorities say scammers use personal information to try and lure potential victims in and are asking the public to remain vigilant and not fall for the tricks.
