It’s bin day in Kirk Michael today but with a difference.
Due to the snow and road conditions people are going to have to help empty their bins themselves.
The bin wagon will move through the village between 9.30am and 4pm but will only be able to park at the entrance of each estate.
Residents are asked to bring their own bins and bags to the wagon for emptying - sea cadets will help people who can’t do it for themselves.
Michael Commissioners say while it’s not ideal this is currently the only option available.
