A rescue operation is underway in Laxey.
The Island's Coastguard has a boat on scene, and a helicopter is at Laxey football pitch.
It comes following a major incident being declared as flooding continues to devastate the town this morning.
Severe weather has resulted in Police reporting vehicles being washed away and people being trapped in their homes.
All emergency services and government agencies have been mobilised in response - with residents on Glen Road in Laxey being instructed to stay inside their homes than try to leave.
As well as schools being closed, power supplies are also reported to be affected - the church hall at the rear of Laxey CO-OP has also been opened for people to shelter.
150 properties in Glen Road Laxey have had to have power turned off for safety reasons, Manx Utilities are working on scene.
Meanwhile, an amber weather warning for heavy rain is now in force until 4pm across the Island.
