Reports in the UK media are suggesting that the stuntman who died during a human cannonball display in Kent yesterday was from the Isle of Man.
According to the Daily Mail Newspaper it’s believed he was called Matt and was 23 years old.
Witnesses say the man was catapulted 40 feet into the air as part of the stunt, but his safety net collapsed causing him to plunge to the ground headfirst.
It all happened in front of a packed audience at the Scott May’s Daredevil Stunt Show.
An investigation has now been launched into his death but there is currently confusion as to whether it should be the Health and Safety Executive or the Kent County Council leading the proceedings.
