The main Douglas regeneration scheme work will start later this month and will last until November.
Work will get under way on Regent, Drumgold and Victoria streets on March 3rd.These areas will see new paving fitted which it’s hoped will be better for pedestrians and retailers.
The work is part of an ongoing effort to revitalise the appearance of Douglas after heavy criticism for the capital for looking tired and worn-down.
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed the work will be undertaken using two work gangs, working 15-hour shifts, six days a week.
