The case against a Douglas man accused of rape has been dismissed.
38-year-old Christopher Alan Ballard of Tynwald Road was facing trial in the Court of General Goal Delivery in November after he denied one allegation of rape.
But after Mr Ballard's advocate - Winston Taylor presented further evidence, prosecutors offered no evidence against him when he appeared in court on Wednesday, May 8 2019.
The case against Mr Ballard was formally dismissed.
