In a post on Facebook, the Ramsey MHK says serving the town over two terms have been some of the proudest moments of his life.
He's thanked the people of Ramsey for their support, saying he's proud of what the Island has achieved over the last decade.
But in his post, he says it's now time to step back and encourage new voices and ideas.
