Dog walkers have been warned court action will be taken if walking your animal in prohibited areas.
A Ramsey man was recently fined after members of the public reported him walking his dog in the area closed off to dog walking on South Beach.
After failure to pay the fixed penalty notice Courtenay Heading was referred for prosecution, with the trial held at the end of September.
He was fined £500 and ordered to pay a contibution towards costs in the sum of £1,000.
