Raft of questions on the Manxman tabled for House of Keys sitting

How many times since it commenced operation has the Manxman had to draft in the Ben my Chree to carry out the service.

That's the question set to be asked by Jason Moorhouse MHK in the House of Keys today, as part of a trio of Steam Packet related questions tabled for the Treasury Minister, Dr Alex Allinson.

There's been numerous occassions in recent months where weather conditions forced a change in vessel to ensure the service could still run.

The Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK will also seek to find out what the difference in fuel consumption was between the Manxman and Ben-my-Chree, on the crossing to Heysham, in similar conditions, and how long each crossing took.
