Raft of questions about VAT sharing agreement in Tynwald today

Chief Minister says once changes of substance have been made there will be a public announcement

There’s a raft of questions in Tynwald today geared toward getting the definitive update on whether or not the Island’s VAT Sharing Agreement with the UK is in any further danger.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran will be asking the Treasury Minister if there is a bilaterally agreed revenue sharing arrangement, and if not, why not?

When pressed on the matter in last weeks sitting of the House of Keys the Chief Minister said discussions and negotiations with the UK are continuing.

He said the minute any changes of substance are made, the Government will make a public announcement.
