RAF Valley was called on to rescue an elderly lady from her home in Cronk-y-Voddy yesterday.
The helicopter was drafted in after a call for help from Peel and Douglas Coastguard.
Working in conjunction with the Fire and Rescue Service and Civil Defence the elderly lady was evacuated to Noble’s Hospital.
The coastguard was also called on to evacuate an adult and child from a house in the area which had no power.
Due to the adverse driving conditions team members were forced to walk for half a mile through deep snow to access the property.
