Work is due to commence on the Quarterbridge Improvement scheme tomorrow, with motorists warned to expect delays.
The works teams will be widening and resurfacing the carriageway, there will also be a safer crossing point introduced.
The Quarterbridge is the busiest junction on the Island and over the years areas of the road have deteriorated badly.
There will be extensive traffic management during the works, with the occasional closure.
It’s estimated it will take until Tuesday 15th March.
